One morning, in the month of March,
As I eagerly dressed for school,
My Mom stopped at my door and sadly said,
“I’m sorry, but our world has proved a fool,
So for the unseen future everything is closed
Including business, stores, and schools.”
“It’s a weekday, what has changed?” I asked.
Besides my mom, who’s now deranged.
Our world was accidently exposed to
A Pandemic and death toles that constantly grows.
Schools are locked down until further advised
The world’s quarantined and her people, terrorized.
I’m a teenager, I’ll never survive
I’m made for this world, outdoors, not inside.
You can’t lock me away. I’ve got to shine
Pandemic? Say what, color me blind
How can this happen, with science and all?
We slept on the job and This Pandemic is our downfall.
