Charly A came to stay, and may he never leaves us…

Adopted on 3-29-21

This is Charly, he’s come to my home. Instead of this poor little fellow going to the Humane Society of Salt Lake, my husband and I paid an adoption fee. His previously adopted parents put him in the classified after only having him for a few months. His first family took him in as a pup but didn’t have the time for this sweet boy. The parents we got him from didn’t have time for him, so we brought him into our house. We have found in the last few days that the only time we spend with him is… we walk him in the morning, play tug-of-war for a little while when we get home. Feed him and let him sit with us as I write or my husband watches television and/or reads.

Around noon, we take him out for a nice long afternoon walk, play a little tug-of-war with a toy, give him a little attention, and then give him a treat for doing a good job on his walk. Before bed, he goes out and takes care of business, then he goes to bed. Wow, doesn’t feel like much of a hardship, but then maybe something so tiny and cute deserves to be showered with love and attention. We have noticed that he gets stand-offish and shakes severely around deep voices and big people. Barks and growls, it’s pretty sad. The day my daughter and I picked him up, the family we got him from didn’t know if Charly had had his shots. They hadn’t taken him in. So, I took him in and had the Humane Society start his shots from a pup. His hairs matted, so I’ve made him a haircut, shampoo, anal gland check, etc., appointment on their first opening and then he’ll get a Well Dog Check-up with a Veterinarian. I must admit it is so easy to fall in love with these darling little dogs. He is a full breed Papillion. About 8 pounds and small. They resemble a fox one minute and a gremlin the next. They are smart, easy to train, loyal and just plain adorable. Puppies are adorable, but adopting an older dog is easier…. believe me 🙂

Halloween Parade

Halloween Parade
09/25/2019

Where have I been… thinking I can do nine things at once. Guess what. (pink cheeks and eyes toward the ceiling) I can’t. That’s right. But I did get this out by the 25th. I just never made it back to the computer to brag about it… Noodle time.

But its OUT, UP, and ABLE to be purchased. Whether you want it through Amazon or the mail, it be available. I am tickle with the way this turned out. Truly darling pictures and not a one too scary. Hey, I am a wimp and I did have my doubts. If it scared me, would it scare a little dude? Probably not, they can handle a lot more then me. I scream when kittens jump out at me! I’m not kidding.

Anyway, here it be… a fun little book about a Halloween Parade and the adventure you’ll see as my buddy’s, Dracula, the Wolf-man, Frankenstein and Elvira the witch make a trip down a sidewalk one Halloween evening.

May you have a wonderful day this October 1st. 2019. I’m pulling out all my cute, and scary, Halloween decorations. Join me and decorated your home too.
