I Like To Blog, and Here Is Why…

Why do we blog? I read a friend’s blog this morning and she was answering the same questions. And I’m going to agree with her. She, like myself, is a writer. We blog because we #1) enjoy writing, #2) believe that we have something that is interesting to say and #3) we have a place to do it!

I like to blog as a way to express myself. On this blog site, I concentrate on ‘whas’s up.’ Now that schools back, yeah** hoorah$% I’m eager to return to organized days where there’s a chance for structure. (I’m pretending that everyone is happy) And we are enjoying our friends being there with us again. 2020 blahhh. Although we still need to strongly watch our back… or should I say face. (Stay diligent and concerned with the Covid-19 strain returning and this new Delta spreading.) I really don’t want to be separated and quarantined again. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy my own company, but even I get to be like old fish. I need fresh air and friends after three days.

It’s September! The hot days are slowly easing away. Can I get a ‘hey yeah’… I like this time of year because the trees turn colors, the air smells crispy and there is a brisk chill. Sweater weather, that’s what it’s called. Also have you noticed how the months zip by. 30 days in September and 30 days in November, right? Then there’s three major holidays in a row. Oops, four, I forgot about New Years. That’s next year, though. I’m not ready for that. Give me a minute. I’m still talking about Fall 🙂

Footballs back out on the field, shows are on tv again and so far the world is where it should be. Of course this is America and things around this place change fast and not always good. But, we pray at night, we wake up with a smile and we look forward… always look forward and we’ll enjoy our tomorrows. Yep, that’s why I blog, to just say isn’t this next season a fun one, with crisp leaves beneath our feet, fireplaces burning to provide more heat, (except here in Utah, they are not allowed due to our air quality) and costumes, pumpkins and trick or treat. I’ll be back before then. But have a nice and fine time writing about whas’up as you like.

It’s December 1st… Are you ready?

2020 is coming to an end… Only 30 more days!

We’ve missed so much ‘together time’ with our family and friends this year, that I know I’ll be utilizing Christmas Cards as a special way to reach out and say “Hi.” How are you and yours doing this trying Covid year.” Let’s kick this 2020 out of the way. Cards are a great way to put a hand out and say, “We’ve been thinking of you!”

I’ve removed everything Halloween, Pumpkins, Autumn, and Thanksgiving from the mantle and the shelves. I re-boxed them up and even taken them down the stairs. I returned upstairs and plopped down on the couch. Yep, it all looks so nice and clean. And then I watch the Television. This commercial comes on about a woman setting down a couple of pairs of shades and telling her husband she bought them today for Christmas and he shows her what he bought that day, a red car and a black truck. The wife takes the truck the husband wanted. And then it hits me. Duh, when those boxes go downstairs, you take the next holiday boxes upstairs with you. It’s another holiday that I’ve accumulated an assortment of knickknacks and ornaments. And score! This one also comes with a tree to use floor space that I don’t have. No worries, I still manage anyway.

So, with all the boxes sitting around me, I thought I’d take a break and write out my Christmas cards. If I don’t do it now, I might accidentally re-box them and then I’ll end up forgetting them until December 2021 and I’m really anxious to get 2020 over with. And we all Need A Little Christmas Cheer, especially this year!

Happy Decorating
